Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMF) takes alternating current (AC) and transforms it into DC, producing controllable intensity variations ranging from low to high. As the voltage passes through a coil embedded in the body applicator, it emits a pulsed magnetic field.
With each pulse, electrons inside the body are stimulated while the electrically charged cell membrane of each cell is gently pulled. In between pulses, cells relax. Essentially, the cells are exercising, like a person doing jumping jacks.
PEMF acts like a pump for cells and promotes cellular exercise stimulating cells and tissue by increasing cellular voltage through the outer cell membrane. Pulsed magnetic frequencies act like a whole-body battery recharger by pumping and priming your cells, and as a result increase the cells ability to accept necessary oxygen and nutrients and rid the cells of damaging toxins.
The bio-compatible electromagnetic pulses not only recharge the cell, they penetrate the cell walls and cause them to contract. Exercising cells this way speeds up healthy circulation of nutrients, and expulsion of toxins, allowing the body to rejuvenate as it should. PEMF can improve microcirculation, oxygenation (up to a 200% increase), help nerve regeneration, stimulate bone fusion, pain management and many other health promoting benefits.
When cellular exercise occurs an exchange takes place, the cells are stimulated to pump out waste and allow for fresh nutrients and oxygen to enter. This process is similar to your heart and lungs circulating more oxygen and carbon dioxide while you physically exercise. The cells within this pulsating electromagnetic field that are low in energy will be felt as a mild discomfort or slight pain till their energy levels are brought up to normal. As with any exercise program, you may experience natural reactions that include but are not limited to headache, fatigue or muscle aches.
PEMF’s are like a spark plug or catalyst for energy production in the cell. Just like a car needs oxygen, fuel and an ignition, so does the human cell need fuel (glucose), oxygen, and an increase in cell voltage, which can be viewed as the ignition. This ignition is PEMF or pulsed magnetic energy. We can also think of PEMF as a battery re-charger for the human cells.
Without this energy, the cell voltage weakens, and disease and illness set in. When cells have a buildup of toxins and cannot obtain the nutrients they need for survival, they begin to die: this is when a person begins to feel pain, fatigue, and disease can ensue.
NASA scientists assayed all forms of electrical and electromagnetic devices alleged to restore tissues after injury and found PEMF was up to 4 times better than any other device.
While Using PEMF:
- Additional hydration (Water) is recommended before and after a session with the Pulse.
- Do not use PEMF if you have an implanted electronic device including: pacemaker, defibrillator, cochlear hearing device, etc.
- Remove all the following from your person: Electronic or battery-operated devices, keys, wallets,
hearing aids, Fit Bit and Apple Watch.
- Do not use PEMF if you are pregnant.
How Many PEMF Therapy Treatments Will I Need and How Often?
The answer, as with most therapies, is different for each person. It really comes down to how well you can “hold a charge.” Your cells’ ability to hold a battery charge depends heavily on two things:
How well hydrated the tissues are – Hydration refers to whether you have enough healthy water and electrolytes in the areas surrounding the cells.
The battery ‘age’ does not necessarily refer to a person’s biological age, but rather the amount of wear and tear the cells have endured. Think about your cell phone. A cell phone with a two-year old battery is not going to hold a charge as a phone with a new battery. However, one person’s two-year old battery can be much more “used and abused” than another person’s.
Your cells batteries may need a charge once per week or three times per week depending on your goals. The length of therapy depends on the amount of work that needs to be done. Are you building a new deck or a whole new house?
There are over 1000 clinical studies and over 7000 research papers validating the therapeutic benefits of PEMF.
